AMC transkit serie : FW07B late season.

Post by gilles.r »

Hi

So , now the 2nd FW07B tk , that we could call "late season" even there is no wheel .
The first FW07tk was the Monaco version.
The base is similar for these 2 tks :
resin parts : the engine cowling with the air intake for the gear box radiator , and the rounded shape sidepods, very thin and well moulded .
decals , probably by F Artefice
the moulded metal parts which are specific , including mirrors , rear wing plates and support , gear box oil box and radiator

Th whole to be used with the 15" wheels by Icon Automotive ...
Bye
Gilles

Wow, those rear wing end plates really surprise me! Why aren't the photo etched? I wanted one of these kits until I saw that! How unfortunate.

Very nice transkit...thanks for sharing. Yes,the endplates are white metal but if you sand them you'll be suprised how nice they turn out, also remember that paint adheres much beter on white metal than on PE..

And if not, simply plastic :)
See, this trans I have no complaint about. They really nailed the idea I'd say.

Hi Gilles R.

Where did you purchase your tk? I want to model the fw07b as it raced and won in Canada. Thanks for any info.

Hi David,

You can contact AMC directly http://www.amc-models.com but the transkit is already sold out.

Tohru can tell you if they will release again in future or not

Hi David,

Make a try with Raccoon-Auto : http://raccoon-shop.com/SHOP/amc52.html
You could ask to Mrs Abe : raccoon at raccoon-auto dot com if she could still have it in stocks.
It could arrive that your message does not reach her because considered as spam.
So, if you don't get reply, feel free to contact me , I'ld transmit your request ( and your email for a direct reply !

Hoping your success ,
Bye
Gilles
