Second , the content ...

But before , my great thanks to Mrs Abe of Raccoon-Auto who hs got this tk , even it has been released in a ( too ) small quantity ( 50 units ) and already soldout , as soon as announced by AMC
Let's hope for a rerealese , upgraded as you will read below ...

So, as you can see :
3 resin parts : the new '80 rear cowling , and 2 sidepods air intakes . Very thin and high quality parts.
The cowling is so thin, that it is transparent !
Some metal parts , including the rear brakes and air scopes ...
Unfortunately , if you want to build an opened version, you'll have to scracth the rear suspension ; let's hope this will be updated for the very hoped rerelease.
Some photo etched parts , including the side plates having a new shape in comparison to '79 JS11 version. Very realistic.
The decals sheet ( probably printed by F-Artefice, as the other AMC products ) ...You could observe that the 26 and 25 white number have hot the white line , as it seems correct to me . But the blue one still have , which seems uncorrect .

Even some details to be upgrated : a great tk .
Let's hope the rerelease with the upgrades
and the France GP version , the ultimate version which can be done without new front wheels and tires , but using the rounded rear cowling .

Bye
Gilles

Nice review, and nice trans. Unfortunately it leaves unsolved two important issues:
1-the significantly different nose of the TAmiya nose. Should be lower, sharper, flatter.
2- The sidepods are slanted on the JS11/15: qhile upper surface is clearly UNDER the fixation triangle at the front end of the DFV camcovers, on the JS11/15 the sidepods almost engulf that part, being so a quite significant 2-3mm higher.
Thanks for the review :D

So here is a picture of the French GP version , using for the first time the rounded fuel tank cowling , another sidepods plate shape and the lowest downforce rearwing .

Note also that such a rear wing was alos used for the USA West and South Africa GPs
These 2 tks would be welcome from AMC !

Thank you for this review. I missed this, but as you mentioned, let's hope for a re-release.
Great to see AMC offer some Minardi's (have the M193, the M189 is in transit, and I have reserved the M185), but now we desperately need some Ligier's from the turbo era!!
Have a great day.
Michael
