Make sure you run it in gently Harv, do you plan to dyno it first? I would hate to see all your hard work go up in smoke

Re: Building your models, the most hated step.
1. Rear wings at 1:43 scale
2. Dropping bits on the floor, even with wood flooring instead of carpet they can still be a nightmare to find
3. My good lady deciding to tidy my workbench, then cramming everything in a cupboard.

Some more progress to show you all. I hit a bit of a problem with the space-frame around the bulkhead. The legs of the part supplied with the kit were way too short to meet the main frame of the chassis as shown in the photos. http://i1176.photobucket.com/albums/x323/footwork3/28.jpg http://i1176.ph...

Re: Two dead, dozens injured at F1 event in Graz.

I really hope this is lost in the translation between our different languages, I understand and respect your post, its not the title that is the problem, but your clear statement that it is a sad day for F1. No no no ,it is a sad day for mankind, not F1, those fans were just unlu...

Re: Two dead, dozens injured at F1 event in Graz.
Absolutely nothing to do with F1 but a another example of the very sick, strange world we live in. I've given up trying to understand it. A similar thing happened 2 weeks ago in the town I live in. Thankfully nobody was killed this time. The lorry driver managed to drive about 2 miles with a flat ty...

Re: WIP 1:43 Top Queens 1958 Vanwall
I've now pretty much finished the engine. Most of this was straight forward, other than having to scratch build new cam covers. One of the covers supplied with the kit had been very badly cast so I remade them from brass sheet and carefully drilled 0.4mm holes to represent the rivets. http://i1176.p...
