I always use tamiya XF flat white, never had problems with anything flaking of.
But i insert the rim short after painting.

Great start, i really like the 79 version.

I have had the same Problem when building mine.
I made the wheel inserts myself and cast them in resin, i still have two spares if you want them just pm me you adress.

This is my solution and if you have a round stencil it is even more simple to build

Thanks for all the nice comments. When cutting nodyparts, like the rearwing on the 78 version, i cut along the panel lines with a sharp hobby knife. Just apply low pressure and keep cutting. For all straight cuts i use a photo etched saw, these are extremely helpfull as you won´t get plastic buildup...

Finally i managed to do pictures of the completed kits. I hoped for better wheather but i gave up and did the photos inside, so they lacking a bit quality wise due my poor lighting and camera. Finished these two on christmas day. Sadly the weather is dark and rainy and my lighting inside is not sufficient to do good pictures.
