I'm trying to get decals to stick around thin rear struts etc on a Revell kit but they just come off, any thoughts on how to make them adhere ??

One method would be to use a decal softener like MicroSol - but make sure you test on scrap decal from the set in question first because MicroSol can destroy decals.

You apply the decal to the part, apply some MicroSol with a paintbrush and let the decal soften for 20-30 seconds.  You can then use the brush to wrap the decal around the strut, but be careful, if the decal is too soft, you can wreck it.   Once its in position and relatively smooth, leave it alone!  MicroSol can make a decal look wrinkled for a bit as it dries, but the decal should shrink - a hair dryer can help.

It does help if the part has been gloss coated - black, if you're doing carbon fibre.
