Banner Ad Information:

  • Top Banner
    • Cost - $125 per year
    • Size: 468 by 60 (W x H) pixels
    • Type: JPEG, GIF or PNG
    • No Flash based ads for the present time.
    • Will appear at top of F1M.com main site and Forums.
    • Random rotation of all ads in this category.

Initial Setup Instructions:

  1. Create an account on F1M.com if you do not have one already.  If you have posted in the Forums, you have an account.  You can retrieve your information via the new password request page if you have forgotten it.
  2. You will receive an email with the password for a new account or a login link for a older account.
  3. Log in to F1M to make sure everything is set up.
  4. Click the Contact F1M link, fill out the form and indicate that you are interested in setting up an ad.
  5. Currently, I have some manual setup to do and will send a email reply when your account can create an ad.
  6. Use the Create... pulldown menu and select the link to contribute an Ad.
  7. Fill out the form.
    1. Title - Your company name would be best here.
    2. Ad Group - Select Top Banner.  There may be other ad areas in the future.
    3. Description - A short note about your ad.
    4. Destination URL - The web site to link to your ad.
    5. Mouseover - The 'pop-up' text when you hover over a link.  Optional.
    6. File attachments - For Image ads, click to open up the menu. Then click the Browse button to locate the image for your ad on your computer.  Once you have selected the image, click the Attach button.
    7. Use the Preview button to check your ad before you submit or just click the Submit button.
  8. If there are no errors, you ad has been submitted for approval.  Send me an email letting me know you have sent in an ad.
  9. I will check everything and approve the ad if there are no problems or get back to you if there are any.
  10. Currently to pay for an ad, send in a payment via Paypal to f1m@f1m.com or send a check (in US Dollars) to: Eric Aitala, P.O. Box 953, Lemont, PA 16851.  If you send a check, please let me know...
